Asia Pacific Cultural Center (APCC)
Asia Pacific Cultural Center (APCC) helps at-risk, low-income, Asian and Pacific Islander youth stay in school and graduate by providing mentorship, wrap-around services, educational support and cultural connections.
Center for High School Success
The Center for High School Success (CHSS) provides training, coaching, data analysis, peer learning opportunities, and tools and resources to support high schools in effectively implementing a 9th Grade Success approach to substantially increase 9th Grade On-Track Rates.
College Success Foundation-Tacoma
College Success Foundation-Tacoma is a partnership with Tacoma Public Schools, Tacoma city government, colleges and community organizations to help widen access to college for students attending Tacoma public schools. Students in grades 9 and 10 can get support in the transition from middle school to high school, managing the academic rigor of high school and become college ready. Students in grades 11 and 12 can receive support and guidance to successfully navigate the last two years of high school and prepare for a successful college experience.
Communities in Schools (CIS)
The Communities in Schools (CIS) partnership includes on-site staff ready to help support individual students with Whole Child support. This includes academic tutoring, progress monitoring, mentoring, and college/career planning support. Additionally, CIS supports the Mount Tahoma community by providing donations of supplies, food and basic necessities and connecting students and families with needed resources.
Evergreen Upward Bound
Evergreen Upward Bound works to support low-income high school students in becoming the first in their family to obtain a college degree. Students are offered academic advising, assistance with college and scholarship applications and after-school tutoring and workshops, with the goal of keeping our students on track for college success.
Graduate Tacoma
Graduate Tacoma provides FAFSA & WASFA financial aid guidance and resources. Students and families can find easy-to-follow guides on the Graduate Tacoma website. Additionally, throughout the year Graduate Tacoma hosts in-person events where students can get individual support and guidance for FAFSA and WASFA.
Indian Education
The Indian Education Program is committed to connecting families of Native American students with culture, community and education. Students and families can receive individual support and case management.
MDC Upward Bound
MDC Upward Bound guides low-income and/or first-generation students through high school while exploring and preparing for college and career after high school. Students will receive one-to-one advising and mentoring, field trips, academic tutoring, budgeting and money management, 6-week summer programming, FAFSA and financial aid guidance, scholarship navigation, college tours and admissions assistance, and referrals to other community resources.
Treehouse for Kids
Treehouse for Kids works to create opportunities for young people in foster care to thrive. By working to ensure students who have experienced foster care receive essentials such as clothing, school and job supplies.
